figured it out. i didn't realize that it had been updated and loaded an old save. started over and now it runs fine.
not the smartest person. what does it mean when it says "an exception has occurred"?

out of curiosity. is there a wolf transformation in game? i know i've run into the wolf quite often and i never really got a chance to check before they took the pelt.
